導演李安憑藉《色，戒》奪得 2007年威尼斯影展金獅獎，這是李安繼前年的《斷背山》之後，第二次獲得威尼斯電影節最高獎項。由湯唯、梁朝偉和王力宏傾情演出，《色，戒》改編自著名作家張愛玲于 1950年居于上海時所著的同名短篇小說，影片以上世紀 40年代抗戰時期的上海爲背景，原着講述女大學生王佳芝 (湯唯 飾) 利用美色接近漢奸易先生 (梁朝偉 飾) 意圖行刺的故事。

由于電影《色，戒》強勢登場，現在全國掀起一陣舊上海潮，除了小說作者張愛玲又成爲熱門話題之外，電影原聲配樂亦找來曾憑《愛在遙遠的附近》獲金球獎最佳原聲配樂大獎，以及于 2006年度獲 IFMCA 頒發“電影作曲人”大獎的音樂大師 Alexandre Desplat 主理這張《色，戒》電影原聲大碟。

此版本額外輯錄三首 Bonus Track，當中一曲由張學友特别爲電影原聲大碟灌錄新歌“Yang-Mou”(淹沒)。
